What would a PenniDinh hub do for me?

1. FTP-based Security Camera Hub. If you want to record a face and description in the unfortunate event of an attempted burglary, then you could get a PenniDinh Hub and FTP-supported Security Cameras; the Security Cameras upload the video and photos over your home network to your PenniDinh Hub and are then viewable from the PenniDinh mobile app and web browser app. As opposed to Cloud-based Security Cameras, there's no monthly fee or requirement for a high-bandwidth, fast internet connection.
2. advanced router setup required - VPN Server. The VPN Server features allows you to send your internet traffic, regardless of where you are in the world, through your PenniDinh Hub back out to the internet. This is helpful when traveling or using public WiFi preventing bad people from looking at and in some cases stealing your personal information. iOS, Android, Mac, PC, and Linux all have free apps which make connecting to your PenniDinh Hub's VPN way simpler than it may seem. Once configured, use your phone or computer as you usually do with all your traffic going through your PenniDinh Hub. There is no monthly fee and can be setup with a configuration change to your home internet router.

There are 3 routes to to your PenniDinh Hub

1. Inside your home network directly to your hub using your internal PenniDinh subdomain (i.e. internal-johndoe.pennidinh.com)
2. Inside or outside your home network through a PenniDinh shared proxy (i.e. https://shared.pennidinh.com )
3. advanced router setup required - Outside of your home network using your external PenniDinh subdomain (i.e. johndoe.pennidinh.com)

Personal pennidinh.com subdomain with dynamic DNS and SSL certificates

• Dynamically updates your external PenniDinh subdomain's DNS entry with your home's IP address
• Dynamically updates your internal PenniDinh subdomain's DNS entry with your PenniDinh's local network IP address
• Free universally trusted SSL certificate specific to your internal and externals pennidinh.com subdomain
  • SSL enables PenniDinh Hub identity verification automatically from your web browser and PenniDinh App guaranteeing it is your hub which is responding to your requests
  • SSL enables traffic encryption guaranteeing that nobody can see your request or response data to and from your PenniDinh hub

Communication between your PenniDinh Hub and central PenniDinh cloud servers are protected by a RSA private/public key encryption

• For example, when your PenniDinh Hub reports it's updated IP address to PenniDinh Hub central servers, the request is signed with a private key only present on your PenniDinh Hub and verified with a corresponding public key which was uploaded to PenniDinh central servers when your PenniDinh Hub was initially setup.

Automatic Updates

• We don't want you to have to periodically check and install app or hub updates. Both the PenniDinh Mobile App and PenniDinh Hub periodically check for and apply updates to keep themselves up-to-date with the latest and greatest features.
